Once upon a time, in a faraway swamp, an ogre named Shrek finds his precious solitude shattered by an invasion of annoying fairy-tale characters. They've all been banished from their kingdom by the evil Lord Farquaad.

Now newlyweds, Shrek and Fiona return from their happy honeymoon. They are invited by Fiona's parents to their kingdom, Far Far Away, for dinner. Little do they know, however, that their daughter has become a beautiful ogress. This marriage also jeopardizes the future and the King's most secret plans.
