The Lord of the Rings

A young and shy "Hobbit", Frodo Baggins, inherits a magical ring. Far from being a simple trinket, it is an instrument of absolute power that would allow Sauron, the "Dark Lord", to rule over "Middle Earth" and enslave its peoples. Frodo must reach the "Crack of Doom" to destroy the ring.

The armies of Sauron have attacked Minas Tirith, the capital of Gondor. Never has this once mighty kingdom been in greater need of its king. But will Aragorn find the will within himself to fulfill his destiny? As Gandalf strives to bolster the broken forces of Gondor, Theoden urges the warriors of Rohan to join the fight. But despite their courage and loyalty, the forces of Men are no match for the countless legions of enemies.

Bilbo Baggins and the Dwarves continue their quest to the Lonely Mountain. Trolls are after them as they enter the dangerous Mirkwood Forest. Attacked by giant spiders and captured by the Elves, they escape and are saved by the fighting skills of Legolas and Tauriel.

Traveling through the depths of the Misty Mountains and the realm of Númenor, the heroes face the dreaded reappearance of evil in Middle-earth and create legacies that will live long after they are gone.
